100 Days to a Wiser You

Incredible! This week begins our third reading through the Book of Proverbs. What a feast God has set before us in this book. I pray that you are growing wiser each and thatevery day and that you are enjoying wisdom’s rewards.

July 30, Proverbs 30

Just Enough

 

Prayer: Lord, help me to find contentment in all the resources you have made available to me. - In Jesus’ name. Amen

Consider the dangers of being too rich or too poor. How could riches lead you to disown the Lord? Have they done that already? How could poverty cause you to dishonor the name of the Lord? Has that occurred in your life? What action steps could be taken to avoid either extreme?

The Industrious Woman

There is nothing lazy about this woman in the 31st chapter of Proverbs. She is on top of things, or at least she is aware of all that is transpiring in her house. Talk to the Lord about the schedule you keep. Are there times of idleness that need to be eliminated from your daily life?

Share your schedule with someone else and ask them the question, Do you see things here that I am doing with my time that could be spent in better ways.  Pray together that the Lord will enable you to watch over the affairs of your household.

Pray for our country, that we will continue to enjoy the blessing of this land as we repent of our wickedness and live upright and blameless. Consider the consequences of the Lord’s judgment if we do not.

Here is another verse in the Bible that affirms that all of our ways are in the Lord’s view. We just cannot conceal anything from the Lord. God see all. Is this a thought that is with you continually through the day? How could you keep this truth at the forefront of your thoughts today?
