Encourage someone else who has shared their plans with you. How far have they gotten in the pursuit of their goal? Don’t be a nag, but be a cheerleader. Is there something you can offer to spur on their efforts?

Though Solomon lived in a day when warriors were held in high esteem, and power and strength were seen as the greatest good, here Solomon states that patience is preferable to power. Do you value patience in this way? Look for opportunities today to exercise patience.

The fool who remains silent is no longer a complete fool. Consider these questions to ask before you speak today:

Live it!

The hot-tempered person is one whose anger is constantly getting him or her into trouble. Unless he or she changes his or her ways that person will continue to make costly mistakes and always need bailing out. Identify a hot head in your life. Pray for that person and at the same time determine to no longer excuse that person’s behavior. Give them over to the Lord for Him to discipline them.

Talk to the younger people in your life about what is involved in controlling their tempers and the high price of losing them.
