100 Days to a Wiser You
Welcome to this daily guide to studying the
Proverbs. Each day I encourage you to read the chapter in the Book of Proverbs
that corresponds to that day’s date. Then you can use this guide to focus in on
one of the proverbs from that chapter. My prayer is for you to learn it, live
it, and share it.

The negative voice of the sinners can be contrasted
to the positive voices of whom in v.v.8-9?
Live it!
Can you identify a voice in your life that entices
you to sin? Name that voice here and ask the Lord to strengthen your resolve in
the face of temptation.
Share it!
Before the command is given in v.10, the first two
words in v.10 emphasize a relationship. Obedience flows out of a relationship
that is already established between the father and son in this text.
In order to encourage someone in your life to stand
strong against temptation and peer pressure you need to be building and
maintaining a relationship with that person. Identify a relationship you want
to strengthen this summer so that you can more easily share the wisdom you find
in the Proverbs with that person.
June 2, Proverbs 2
Stay Behind Your Shield
Prayer: Lord, help me to do all that is required to find
the knowledge of God. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Read Proverbs 2
Observations to Make:
Circle all the verbs involved in finding the
knowledge of God in vv.1-5. Finding the knowledge of God demands some real work
on our part. It all so involves are entire person. Go back and put a square
around the different senses/body parts involved in finding knowledge.

Look at v.12 and v.16. Who does the Lord shield the
blameless from? Name two persons.
Live it!
The shield referenced here was carried by light
infantry to ward off spears and arrows. When your daily walk is blameless the
Lord shields you from attack. Walk with the Lord this day and see how He
shields you.
Share it!
Which of your friends or family members seems to be
under attack in his or her life? Share this image of the
Lord being their shield in a card or in a phone conversation. Assure them that
the Lord protects his faithful ones.
June 3, Proverbs 3
Do the Good You Know You Should Do
Prayer: Lord, I want to learn these Proverbs so I can
readily remember them. Lord please plant them in my
heart and mind so that they will always be close to me. In
Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Read Proverbs 3
Observations to Make:
This is an incredible chapter in the Proverbs. Many
persons claim Proverbs 3.5-6 as their life verse, myself
included. Go back and circle all the references to life in this chapter. The
Lord’s wisdom gives life to those who embrace it.
Learn it! Write out Pr 3.27 below.
